ZIMMERMANIA IS RUNNIN' WILD, BROTHER! WHATCHA GONNA DO. . .WHEN THE BADDEST COACH IN THE JUNGLE. . .DROPS THE FIRST F-BOMB ON YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Yes, in case you missed it yesterday, we had the news pretty early on in the day that the Minnesota Vikings had, in fact, made Mike Zimmer the ninth head coach in the history of the franchise. After a while. . .and by "a while," I mean about twelve hours. . .the team finally made it official. The press conference for the formal announcement will take place on Friday at 11 AM Central. I'm sure that Vikings.com will have it, and we're going to be trying to get one of our folks into the presser as well.

Ted took the time to formally celebrate the occasion. . .with GIFs, natch. We're also starting to get word that the team is starting to take steps to fill out the new coaching staff, getting permission to interview long-time NFL offensive coordinator and head coach Norv Turner about replacing Bill Musgrave.

In between all of that excitement, Mel Kiper and his hair released their first Mock Draft for 2014, and it had a nice little gift in it for Vikings fans as well.

Basically all the news from yesterday revolves around the Zimmer hiring, so there's a lot of stuff out there if you want to search for it.
