Your Pro Bowl Sunday Open Thread

There's only one meaningful game remaining in the 2013 NFL season. . .and to be blunt, it isn't this one.

Yes, today is the day of the first "unconferenced" Pro Bowl, as the teams were drafted by legends Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders rather than just going with the standard AFC vs NFC match-up. The lone member of the Minnesota Vikings that will be participating in this year's game, receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, is a member of Team Sanders. So you can keep an eye out for him, though his impact is going to be limited by some of the rule changes in this year's game.

The game will kick off at 6:30 PM Central time, and it will be televised on NBC. You can stream the game online through NBC Sports Live Extra.

Here are the new, Pro Bowl-only rules:

There will be no kickoffs. After each score, the other team will take over at their own 25-yard line.

"Game within a game." There will be a two-minute warning at the end of the first and third quarters, and possession will change when the quarter ends. This, in theory, will lead to more exciting two-minute type of situations.

Play clock. The play clock will be 35 seconds rather than 25.

Stopping the clock. During the two-minute period at the end of each quarter, if the offense doesn't gain yardage on a play, the clock will stop.

Defense. Teams will be permitted to play Cover-2 and press coverage. In past years, they've only been allowed to play man-to-man except in goal-to-go situations.
