We've managed to. . .somehow. . .make it through the first week of 2014. Not the first full week, mind you, but the first week. And we've done so despite what this team has felt compelled to do to its fans. . .again.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-The big story yesterday came from former punter Chris Kluwe, who accused GM Rick Spielman, former coach Leslie Frazier, and current special teams coach Mike Priefer of all sorts of things. We've collected all of our stories on the matter in one stream.

-Two members of the Minnesota Vikings had DWI-related news. Jerome Simpson was pleading guilty to his incident from November, while Erin Henderson thought it would be a good idea to add to his DWI collection.

-Big day for wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson on Thursday, as he was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for December, as well as getting named to the Pro Bowl to replace Antonio Brown.

-The Vikings denied the Atlanta Falcons the ability to interview current offensive line coach Jeff Davidson for a vacancy on their staff.

-Eric tried his best to distract us from all the crap that was happening in Minnesota yesterday with many gratuitous pictures.

-We brought you the most active posters from our site for 2013.

-We took a look at the odds of quarterback Matt Cassel not actually being in Minnesota in 2014.

-Finally, three of the four NFL Wild Card playoff games for this weekend are in danger of being blacked out.

Man. . .we put out a lot of stuff yesterday. I think that's more than enough linkage for now.
