Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson Nominated For Pepsi Next Rookie of the Year

Hannah Foslien

Thanks to the folks from Cincy Jungle for bringing this to my attention.

NFL.com has announced the nominees for the Pepsi Next Rookie of the Year award for 2013, and Minnesota Vikings' wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson is on the short list. Patterson was recently named the NFL's Rookie of the Month for December. He was also the NFC's Special Teams Player of the Month for September, and the NFL's Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 8.

Patterson's competition for the award includes San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen, Buffalo Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso, Cincinnati Bengals running back Giovanni Bernard, and Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy.

This isn't the official Rookie of the Year Award, and is entirely based on fan voting. So, feel free to head on over to the Pepsi Next Rookie of the Year voting on NFL.com and cast your ballot for the man they call "Flash." Seriously, he's the best choice.
