Better than the Vikings' offensive line? Why yes. . .yes, they are.
Better than the Vikings' offensive line? Why yes. . .yes, they are.
Adam Bettcher

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. . .it's a day off for some folks, which is good, because it means you don't have to go to work and talk about the big, steaming pile that the Minnesota Vikings left on the field at TCF Bank Stadium yesterday. You can hang out here and talk about it with your fellow fans instead. I guess that's better.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread, the Vikings went out and got thumped by the Detroit Lions to the tune of 17-3. If there was ever a 14-point game that could be referred to as a "thumping," yesterday's game qualifies. The offensive line continued to be horrible (regardless of who's taking the field at quarterback), and with as solid an effort as the defense put up for most of the game, it went for naught thanks to a punchless offense. The full stream of our coverage yesterday is right here, and it includes the Stock Market Report among other stories.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

Today's musical selection. . .seems pretty appropriate, given yesterday's "performance."

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Monday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
