Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 10/14

Adam Bettcher

Week 6 of NFL action has been completed, and we will begin shifting our focus to the Buffalo Bills and Week 7 of the 2014 NFL season for the Minnesota Vikings. Hopefully it will be a hell of a lot better than the past couple of weeks have.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Running back Adrian Peterson will likely face discipline from the league even if he's cleared on all charges.

-Mike Zimmer wasn't terribly happy following the Vikings' 17-3 loss to the Detroit Lions. (Though he backed off of some of that in his press conference on Monday).

-Ted takes a look at a unit that was supposed to be a strength that is proving to be anything but.

-CCNorseman thinks that things have a chance to get better for our favorite football team over the next few weeks. I'll have what he's drinking.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-Coach Zimmer is threatening to cut playing time for some players if they don't start performing.

-The judge in Adrian Peterson's trial has refused a motion to recuse himself from the case.

-General Manager Rick Spielman has to play a part in figuring out what's wrong with this football team, too.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

For today's musical selection, something a little different.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
