Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 10/17

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

We've made it to Friday again, everybody! We got a pretty good football game last night, and now it's time to head into the weekend and, hopefully, the Minnesota Vikings getting back in the W column at the expense of the Buffalo Bills.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Eric brought us his picks column for this week. (I won't spoil his Thursday night pick for you this week. . .but you can probably guess what it was.)

-Ted laid out the situation for this weekend's game in Buffalo.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-The Vikings need fewer penalties on special teams, according to their coach.

-It appears that expectations are starting to weigh a bit on Cordarrelle Patterson.

-For the first time in weeks, linebacker Chad Greenway was a full participant in Vikings' practice.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

For today's musical entertainment, enjoy this here.

There's more that 50 videos. . .I'm guessing you'll find something you like. Also, there might be one or two songs on the list that aren't entirely safe for work.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Friday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
