Which College Players Are Future Vikings Week 8 Review and Week 9 Primer

New, comments

8 weeks of college football are complete and the 4 team playoff picture is still fairly wide open. Notre Dame and Florida State played a fantastic game. It ended on a really tough call though. Kind of ticky tack IMO. But that is the way it goes. West Virginia upset Baylor. Alabama thumped Texas A&M bad. Kansas State snuck by Oklahoma in a mild upset. Arizona State upset Stanford. Just another good week really.

I am sure there are other games that a lot of people will be watching. Feel free to give a shout out to those teams and list any other players you like.

Here is a mock with the Vikings picking at #5.

5 Brandon Scherff OT Iowa rSr 6-5 320
37 *Jaelen Strong WR Arizona State rJr 6-4 212
69 Anthony Harris SS Virginia Sr 6-1 190

Obviously this will appease the masses that have their pitchforks out and ready to use on Matt Kalil.  Embarassing.

Here is one that should make everyone happy and is sure to fix all the problems on the offensive line because, you know, all of these draft prospects are sure to be pretty good no?

I'm kind of partial to this mock to be honest but I am not certain about McKinney in the first round.  MOving up for Gordon to me is a good move and maybe I should have done it at the end of the 1st round like Spielman likes to do.  I really think the team needs to invest early and often in the skill positions because we could be in a world of hurt if we think it is OK.  Teddy needs all the help he can get.  I know that this mock does not have an offensive lineman early and that is because I think Spielman wont do it.  Neither would I.  You never know what free agency might bring.

1.7 to the Chiefs for 1.16, 2.16, & 6.16
1.16 & 5.7 to the Panthers for 1.21 & 3.21
