Week 9 of action in the National Football League officially gets underway this evening, as the New Orleans Bounty Hunters travel to Carolina to take on the Carolina Panthers in an NFC South contest. Go Carolina!
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-Rookie linebacker Anthony Barr was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Week 8 against Tampa Bay.
-Ted started breaking down some of the situation the Minnesota Vikings are facing against the Washington Redskins this weekend.
-Kyle doesn't like baseball. And pants. Mostly pants, I think.
-And, despite what the logic might say, it appears that the Redskins are going to start Robert Griffin III at quarterback on Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium.
From some other sources around the interwebs. . .
-We can expect the Redskins to blitz quite a bit on Sunday, from all appearances.
-Despite his broken foot, Matt Cassel is doing his best to stay involved with the team.
-John Sullivan brought a bit of Halloween to the University of Minnesota Children's Hospital yesterday.
-This weekend's game could have the dramatic subtitle of WHEN BENGALS ASSISTANTS COLLIDE! (It's cooler if you imagine it in, like, "Movie Trailer Guy" voice rather than just reading it.)
The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.
Today's entertainment, following on what we had here yesterday, will keep you on your toes. . .much like a midget at a urinal.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
