Since there isn't going to be a game for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, that means that there is going to be a lot of time to focus on other games. To that end, it's time to look at our friends at FanDuel and what they've got going on for this week in Fantasy Football.
Once again, I failed to cash in last week, so I'm going to try to help myself a little bit by entering what's called a "50/50" league. What that means is that half of the people in the league get prized and half don't. Yes, it's not a way to get "rich" in the world of FanDuel, but apparently the way I had been doing things wasn't a way to do that, either.
So, what's the lineup look like this week? Here's who I'm going with.
Again, I tried to get a "star" at each of the big positions. I almost went with Russell Wilson at quarterback (who has the same price tag as Roethlisberger), but I'm a bit wary of those trips across three time zones for teams. Then again, the Seahawks are taking on the Redskins, so that could be mitigated a bit, but I went with Big Ben anyway. And Chandler Catanzaro is one of the cooler names in the NFL, so he goes in the spot that I'd normally reserve for Blair Walsh.
No comparison for the Minnesota Vikings between this week and last week, but I'm guessing that next week you'll be able to get a lot of Vikings on the cheap. Getting thumped on national television will make that happen.
Any other FanDuelers out there? How are you progressing as this season goes on?
