Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 10/8

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Hump Day, ladies and gentlemen! We're another day closer to the matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions at TCF Bank Stadium and the return of Teddy Bridgewater. Isn't that awesome?

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Ted takes a look at whether or not the Minnesota Vikings mentally checked out during last Thursday's game.

-We also brought you the end. . .again. . .of the McLeod John Balthazar Bethel-Thompson era in Minnesota.

-Adrian Peterson's first court date is this morning. He will plead not guilty to the charges against him.

-And we had our weekly look at the NFL Power Rankings around the internet for their impressions of the Minnesota Vikings.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-In case you skimmed past the opening paragraph up there, TEDDY BRIDGEWATER IS BACK.

-There might be more to this past weekend's incident involving defensive tackle Tom Johnson.

-Matt Kalil is coming around after a rough start to his 2014 season.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion (and stop with the Bible verses, seriously. . .do we not know what "no religion" means), no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

Your musical selection for today. . .no rhyme or reason. May have used it before.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
