We've got another game to look forward to this weekend, and this one is against another familiar opponent in the Detroit Lions. The Minnesota Vikings have had a lot of success against the Lions over the years, particularly on their home turf, and we're hoping that will continue this Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium.
As always, all of the numbers in this post are brought to you courtesy of Pro Football Reference.

And a couple of quickie things:
-The 69 victories by the Vikings over the Lions represent the most victories the Vikings have over any opponent in franchise history.
-With the Lions having played their home games at the Pontiac Silverdome and Ford Field and the Vikings calling the Metrodome home, this will be the first outdoor game between the Lions and the Vikings since 20 September 1981, a 26-24 Vikings victory at Metropolitan Stadium.
And that's a brief look back at the history between the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings over the years. Hopefully the Vikings can get victory #70 over the Lions on Sunday afternoon.
