Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 11/10

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

Week 10 of NFL action is nearly complete, with only this evening's game between the Carolina Panthers and the Philadelphia Eagles remaining. Then we can really start looking forward to this weekend's tilt at Soldier Field between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread, the matter with Adrian Peterson continued to dominate the news cycle. The NFLPA called for him to be reinstated immediately, and will apparently file a grievance as early as today if it does not happen. We then got conflicting reports about a potential divide between within the Vikings about whether or not the team wants Peterson back at all.

We'll be keeping an eye out for any more Peterson news this morning and throughout the day. That's pretty much what everyone else is talking about, too, so we'll leave it at that. That and, well, I'm running short on time.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (using spoiler tags if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately-sized.

Today's. . .entertainment? Can we call it that? I guess so. Everyone else is talking about it, so why not?

Seriously, I still don't know what the heck it is, exactly, other than very, very strange.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Monday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
