It turns out that the Minnesota Vikings need another running back. And since they had an opening on their practice squad after the New Orleans Cheap Shots signed cornerback Pierre Warren away the other day, they added a familiar face to do just that.
The team signed running back Dominique Williams to the practice squad on Tuesday. Williams, who played his college ball at Wagner, had a solid pre-season for the Vikings, and was thought to have a shot at sticking with Minnesota's practice squad following training camp cutdowns. However, he was not signed by the team at that time. He did spend some time on the Arizona Cardinals' practice squad, but was recently released by them as well.
As of now, the Vikings' 10-man practice squad looks like this.
WR Kain Colter
QB Pat Devlin
DT Isame Faciane
WR Donte Foster
CB Chris Greenwood
LB Josh Kaddu
C Zac Kerin
TE Ryan Otten
DT Justin Trattou
RB Dominique Williams
So, welcome back to Minnesota, Dominique Williams.
