Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 11/20

Matt Marton-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL kicks off another week of action this evening, as the Kansas City Chiefs will head to the west coast to take on their division rivals, the Oakland Raiders. Should be an interesting start to another week of football.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Ted exchanged Five Good Questions with the folks over at Acme Packing Company.

-We took our weekly look at the Power Rankings from around the internet, showing the Minnesota Vikings on a downward trend.

-Ted also took a look at which directions the Vikings can go with Adrian Peterson as they move forward.

-The Vikings added veteran running back Ben Tate to the roster, as Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon are both having injury issues.

-Di opened up the DN Mailbag once again to answer some reader questions.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-The team is adding yet more money to their contribution for the new stadium, this time for various design changes.

-The Wilfs will be making their pitch to Major League Soccer for a franchise in Minneapolis. Las Vegas and Sacramento will be making pitches as well.

-A VP with the NFL is insisting that the league is not trying to end Adrian Peterson's career. Which is probably a lie, but hey, he's rollin'.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (with spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately sized.

Here's today's musical entertainment.

TUSK!

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
