We're a little less than 90 minutes from kickoff at TCF Bank Stadium, ladies and gentlemen. Both the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers have released their inactive lists for today's game, so let's take a look at who will be sitting out for both teams, starting with the visitors.
Green Bay Packers
TE Brandon Bostick
LB Carl Bradford
CB Jarrett Bush
G Garth Gerhart
WR Jeff Janis
LB Nick Perry
QB Scott Tolzien
And now, on to the home team
Minnesota Vikings
RB Matt Asiata
DT Sharrif Floyd
FB Zach Line
LB Michael Mauti
LB Brandon Watts
G Austin Wentworth
G David Yankey
The big one here, obviously, is Floyd being out. Rookie defensive tackle Shamar Stephen will get his first NFL start in Floyd's place, as he gets the week off to recover from his knee injury. That's a pretty big hit for the Vikings' defense. Other than that, no real surprises on the list for Minnesota.
Asiata being out means that the new guy, Ben Tate, is probably going to get a decent amount of work this afternoon. Will he be productive? At this point, who knows?
And those are the inactive lists for today's game, ladies and gentlemen. The Open Thread for the first quarter will be up at 11 AM Central time, and hopefully we'll see some of you there.
