Matt Kalil Throws A Fan's Hat Leaving The Stadium, Surprisingly Not Penalized For Holding

Apparently Matt Kalil and a fan's hat had an altercation after yesterday's loss to the Packers. It did not end well for the hat.

There are so many jokes that can be made over the following story. Sooo many jokes.

Apparently, Matt Kalil and a Vikings fan had a verbal altercation as Kalil was leaving the stadium after yesterday's 24-21 loss to Green Bay. The fan in question tweeted about it, and Deadspin picked up the story.

In a nutshell, Kalil is walking out of the stadium, the fan heckles him by asking him what team he wanted to be traded to, and that his brother was better than he was (older brother Ryan Kalil is a pretty good center for Carolina).

Kalil turned around, got into a verbal altercation with the fan, and then threw his hat, which looked like this:

In Kalil's defense...that hat did deserve to get thrown. I mean, it's an ugly ass hat and all. Look at it, it looks like a mischievous badger more than a hat, doesn't it? And if Kalil had to face ugly pile hats instead of defensive ends, the Vikings offensive line would be doing much better overall.

Other observers were impressed with Kalil's hand positioning and technique, something that's sorely been missing for most of 2014. This is also a gentle reminder that it's probably not a good idea to heckle NFL linemen. I mean, Kalil's a big dude, and if you're going to run your mouth off to a pissed off big man, the fact you didn't end up with your ass kicked is kind of a small miracle.

We hope that hat is okay, but this is just one more piece of bad news in a pretty rough season for Matt Kalil.
