Well, things just keep getting better for the Minnesota Vikings, don't they?
#Vikings RT Phil Loadholt has torn his pec, source says, and will require surgery. His season is over.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 24, 2014
Loadholt suffered the injury in yesterday's 24-21 loss to the Green Bay Packers at TCF Bank Stadium. He was replaced by Mike Harris, who I assume will step into the starting role at right tackle going forward.
Loadholt has been one of the steadier players on the offensive line this season for the Vikings. He was supposed to combine with Brandon Fusco to form a formidable right side of the offensive line for the Vikings this season and going forward. However, Fusco went on injured reserve in Week 3 with a torn pectoral muscle, and now Loadholt will be joining him with the same injury.
This is really a huge blow for the Vikings. The team is expected to place him on injured reserve, and I would expect another roster move to follow shortly thereafter.
Again, right tackle Phil Loadholt is done for the rest of the 2014 season for the Minnesota Vikings.
