Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 11/25

It's Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen, and likely the last day of the work week for a lot of you. We've got three football games tomorrow. . .none of them involving the Minnesota Vikings, obviously, but there's football to be watched.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-CCNorseman makes the case for demoting Cordarrelle Patterson after a rough stretch of games.

-We took a look at the Power Rankings from around the internet, all of which had the Vikings holding steady or moving upwards.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-Former Viking and Redskin Fred Smoot is facing charges of domestic assault.

-Fullback Jerome Felton is thinking about opting out of his contract after this season because of playing time issues.

-Speaking of Felton, police found former Vikings quarterback Tyler Thigpen in the same state police found Felton in a couple of years back. . .intoxicated and passed out in a fast food drive-thru.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately sized.

For today's entertainment, a personal favorite of mine.

THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO. . .and thousands of years from now, I'm guessing Aqua Teen Hunger Force will still be awesome.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
