Happy Thanksgiving from The Daily Norseman, ladies and gentlemen! I'm guessing that a lot of you out there are going to be celebrating with friends and family today, but in the event that you do spend a little time online, here is today's Open Thread.
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-We started our stream for coverage of this week's game with CCNorseman's look at the matchups between the Carolina Panthers and the Minnesota Vikings.
-Ted has a look at how to get through your Thanksgiving.
-We looked back at the brief history between the Panthers and the Vikings.
-The dedication ceremony for "Bud Grant Way" in Minneapolis will take place on Monday, and is open to the public.
-The folks from FanDuel have some interesting stuff going on over this long Thanksgiving weekend.
From some other sources around the internet. . .
-Right tackle Phil Loadholt says that he expects to be healthy by Training Camp after he has surgery for a torn pectoral.
-The Vikings expect defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd to be back for the game against Carolina, and running back Matt Asiata returned to practice as well.
The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately-sized. (Yes, even if there is hardly anyone at work today.)
Since it's Thanksgiving Day, here's another all-time classic for today's entertainment.
There probably won't be a whole lot of activity over the course of the rest of the day. Of course, if anything does break, we'll have it here for you.
Outside of that, have a Happy Thanksgiving, everybody!
