Carolina Panthers At Minnesota Vikings: Final Injury Reports

We've got the final injury reports for this weekend's contest at TCF Bank Stadium between the Carolina Panthers and the Minnesota Vikings. Let's take a look at both, starting with the visitors.

Carolina Panthers

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Star Lotulelei DT Ankle Doubtful
Amini Silatolu G Knee Doubtful
Charles Johnson DE Illness Questionable
Bene Benwikere CB Ankle Probable
Philly Brown WR Illness Probable
Andrew Norwell G Thigh Probable
Mike Tolbert RB Knee Probable

Johnson's illness appears to be some sort of respiratory ailment. No official word yet on his status for Sunday, but I'd be surprised if he wasn't out there. Silatolu was thought to have a chance to start at tackle for the Panthers, but with his absence, it appears that former Vikings' practice squad member Mike Remmers will be starting for Carolina at right tackle.

Lotulelei, Silatolu, and Johnson did not participate at all in Friday's practice for the Panthers. The other four players on Carolina's injury report were full participants.

And now, on to the home squad.

Minnesota Vikings

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Jerick McKinnon RB Back Doubtful
Sharrif Floyd DT Knee Questionable
Chase Ford TE Hamstring/Foot Questionable
Matt Asiata RB Concussion Probable
Anthony Barr LB Knee Probable
Mike Harris OT Ankle Probable
Greg Jennings WR Rib Probable
Matt Kalil OT Knee Probable
Cordarrelle Patterson WR Knee Probable
Kyle Rudolph TE Abdomen/Groin Probable
Harrison Smith S Shoulder/Ankle Probable
Jarius Wright WR Hamstring Probable

As we mentioned earlier, McKinnon has already told everyone that he won't be playing on Sunday, even though he's "only" listed as doubtful. Asiata is back, and Floyd has said that he expects to play as well.

McKinnon is the only player listed for the Vikings that had no participation in Friday's practice. Floyd, Ford, and Patterson were all limited participants. The other nine players on the Vikings' injury report were all full participants in practice on Friday.

And those are the bumps and bruises for both of the teams in this Sunday's contest. Keep it tuned right here for more coverage of this weekend's game.
