Minnesota Vikings Sign Pat Devlin To Practice Squad

Marc Serota

The Minnesota Vikings have added another name to the quarterback carousel, signing former Miami Dolphins' quarterback Pat Devlin to the squad. They made the move after placing quarterback Chandler Harnish on injured reserve.

Harnish suffered a foot injury in practice this past Wednesday that was going to sideline him to 4-to-6 weeks, so the team decided to place Harnish on injured reserve and add Devlin as the team's third quarterback.

Devlin was signed by the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Delaware following the 2011 NFL Draft. He played two years at Penn State before transferring to Delaware. He was released by the Dolphins in 2011 and signed to their practice squad. To this point in his career, Devlin has not accumulated any stats at the NFL level.

The team also signed tight end ReShaun Allen to the practice squad and released tight end Ryan Otten.
