Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 11/7

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Friday, and Happy N7 Day to all the Mass Effect Fans out there. And, really, if you're a gamer and you're not a Mass Effect fan. . .well, seriously, I don't even know what to tell you.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-As you'd expect, the Adrian Peterson story continued to dominate the news cycle. First it came out that the league had denied Peterson's immediate reinstatement. Then the league said that Peterson would continue to languish on the Commissioner's Exemption list until a review of his case was completed. This led me to believe. . .and a whole lot of others. . .that the National Football League is basically clueless about this entire thing, which is a bad look for them.

-In non-AP news, Eric has his picks column for the week ready for your viewing pleasure.

-Mark has his weekly look at which college football players you should be keeping an eye on this weekend.

From some other sources across the interwebs. . .

-The rookie class for the Minnesota Vikings has been paying some immediate dividends for the club.

-He's not getting as many snaps as he used to, but Jerome Felton is taking advantage of what he's being given.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the pictures relatively work-safe and decently sized.

Today's video, in honor of N7 day.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Friday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
