Week 15 of National Football League action kicks off tonight, with the Arizona Cardinals making a trip to the midwest to take on their division rivals, the St. Louis Rams. This game potentially has an impact on the Vikings, as an Arizona win would snuff out Minnesota's (admittedly) very slim playoff chances.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-The Vikings placed linebacker Michael Mauti on injured reserve and signed offensive tackle Carter Bykowski.

-The National Football League passed a new Personal Conduct Policy for Roger Goodell to ignore based on his whims at any given time.

-CCNorseman has put together his Matchup Index for this Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.

From some other sites around the internet. . .

-Sam Monson of Pro Football Focus talks about just how good cornerback Xavier Rhodes has been over the last month.

-The birds may find a way to avoid the new Vikings stadium after all.

-Teddy Bridgewater is a much different. . .and better. . .quarterback than he was the last time the Vikings and Lions got together.

-Jarius Wright is making the most of the opportunities he's getting in Minnesota's offense.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately-sized.

For today's entertainment, a look at next year's blockbuster hit.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
