Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 12/16

Week 15 of NFL action is in the books. . .seriously, how the hell did this Minnesota Vikings team lose to the Chicago Bears. . .and we can start looking forward to the final two games of this Vikings season.

The only story we brought to you yesterday was the nomination of linebacker Chad Greenway for the inaugural NFL Sportsmanship Award. Even with as generous as Greenway has been on the field this season, he's even more so off of it. Here's hoping he gets recognized.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-The conversation between Adrian Peterson and Troy Vincent was leaked to the media yesterday. Vincent is a lying sack of crap, but I'm not telling you anything we didn't already know.

-Mike Zimmer feels that getting more playing time than expected as a rookie will make Teddy Bridgewater, not break him.

-All in all, the Vikings are making progress. I think just about anyone can see that.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using spoiler tags if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately sized.

For today's entertainment, a clip from a film that celebrated the 40th anniversary of theatrical release yesterday, and one of my personal favorites.

Eyegor! Froedrick!

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll be back with more later.
