Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 12/17

It's hump day once again, ladies and gentlemen! This week seems to be moving along fairly quickly. . .not sure why that is, but I won't complain.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Ted put together a story about how Teddy Bridgewater has changed perceptions over the course of his rookie season.

-We compiled our Power Rankings Roundup for this week.

-And we started our stream for this week's contest between the Minnesota Vikings and the Miami Dolphins with a look back at the history between these two teams.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-Thanks to their charitable efforts this holiday season, students at Shakopee High School are being rewarded with a "Pep Fest" featuring members of the Vikings.

-The Vikings made a pair of roster moves on Tuesday, releasing tackle J'Marcus Webb (who was probably responsible for the blocked field goal against the Lions) and also cutting ties with quarterback Chandler Harnish.

-I agree with Phil Mackey over at 1500 ESPN, who would be perfectly happy if Teddy Bridgewater ends up being a pretty boring guy.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately-sized.

For today's song, here's one that I think most of us know, along with an apology for missing the start of the holiday yesterday.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this hump day, folks. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll be back with more later on!
