Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's the final VICTORY MONDAY of 2014, which is both awesome and depressing at the same time.
The big story from this past week was the Minnesota Vikings picking up their seventh victory of the season, holding off the Chicago Bears by a score of 13-9. You can see the entire stream of coverage from this week's game (such as it was with the holiday week) by clicking right here. The Stock Market Report is in there as well.
With the Vikings' 2014 season being over, we can already start looking forward to 2015, and we've started doing that. We have the draft order for the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, as well as all of the Vikings' opponents for 2015.
Today is known as "Black Monday" in the National Football League because it's the day where a lot of head coaches and general managers end up losing their jobs. Things got off to an early start with the San Francisco 49ers "mutually parting ways" with Jim Harbaugh, who is rumored to be the next head coach at the University of Michigan. The New York Jets are apparently set to fire their head coach, Rex Ryan and GM, John Idzik. There are plenty of other coaches and GMs on the hot seat. Man, it's nice to not have that problem in Minnesota this year, isn't it?
The rules of the Open Thread are just the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately-sized.
Yes, it is a Victory Monday, and the one thing that we do on Victory Mondays is PLAY THE DAMN SONG!
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this VICTORY MONDAY, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll have more for you later on.
