Week 14 of NFL action is officially in the books, ladies and gentlemen, and it's time to start looking forward the Minnesota Vikings' contest for Week 15, as they will travel to the Motor City to take on the Detroit Lions.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-The Vikings still have a chance at making the post-season, but it's a real long shot.

-Our favorite football team has done something that only one other team in NFL history has done.

-Some of the testimony of Troy Vincent from Adrian Peterson's appeal hearing was released yesterday. It looks pretty bad. . .for the league.

-You can vote for Teddy Bridgewater and the Vikings for not one, but two weekly awards over at NFL.com.

From some other sources across the internet. . .

-Wide receiver Charles Johnson has become the Vikings' top target.

-Defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd has no structural damage in his knee, but it is unknown whether he will be able to go against Detroit on Sunday.

-Running backs Ben Tate and Joe Banyard could start seeing increased carries for the Vikings in the final three games.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately-sized.

Your musical entertainment for today.

Yeah, I went there. . .and, frankly, I'm surprised I didn't go there before now.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
