Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 2/28

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

It's the last day of the month, everyone. . .and, more importantly, it's FRIDAY! What have we got for you today?

Well, since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-The Minnesota Vikings had the third-most underperforming roster in the NFL last year, according to Pro Football Focus.

-The Vikings might also be interested in linebacker D'Qwell Jackson, who was cut by the Cleveland Browns yesterday.

-The mad scientist has made another trip to the lab.

-Who might the Minnesota Vikings target in free agency? (Remember, it gets underway two weeks from today.)

-Another episode of Norse Code is up, and they talk about the draft again

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-Former Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson hit the daily double yesterday, as he was charged with DWI and drug possession for his incident in November.

-In something that might be of particular interest to Vikings fans, Jon Gruden's "THIS GUY" quarterback camp will be getting underway soon.

-New coach Mike Zimmer has told quarterback Christian Ponder about the team's plans at the position.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, folks. No politics, no religion, no feeding the trolls, and keep the language clean and the GIFs classy.

No song today, but rather a movie clip instead. This is done in memory of actor Roger Hill, who passed away yesterday at the age of 65. This is his speech, one of my personal favorites of all time.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Friday, everyone! Enjoy the rest of your day, and we should have more stuff for you going into the weekend.
