Don't say that the Minnesota Vikings are standing pat in free agency. With defensive tackle, defensive end, and quarterback solidified, the next item on the to do list was find a cornerback.
That can now be checked off, as former Carolina CB Captain Munnerlyn will sign a three year deal with the Vikings, according to NFL insider Ian Rappaport:
Captain Munnerlyn is signing a three-year deal with the #Vikings, per source.

Terms of the deal are reportedly up to $15 million, but there has been nothing about guaranteed money reported. Munnerlyn will help shore up a secondary that's been atrocious in recent seasons. At one point, both Zygi Wilf and Bud Grant came to the facility, so it was just a matter of time before somebody was signing a contract.
As to Henry Melton, we do know he is in Minnesota, but there has been no word on the status of his visit. As the situation develops, we'll let you know.
But for now, Oh Captain My captain Munnerlyn will be wearing purple and gold in 2014.
