The Boogie Man will be dancing again in Minnesota in 2014.
Defensive tackle Fred Evans re-signed with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, inking a one-year deal to remain as part of the team's defensive line rotation.
Evans was the Miami Dolphins' seventh-round pick (#212 overall) out of Texas State. He has been a member of the Vikings since 2007, after he was waived by the Dolphins following an arrest. He's started six games for the team at defensive tackle, with half of those starts coming in 2013.
It's nice to see Fred Evans back in Minnesota, in my opinion. He's been a very sold back-up for the Vikings during his time here, and he should continue to be that going forward. It will be interesting to see how he fits into a rotation that now includes Linval Joseph and could potentially include Henry Melton as well.
Welcome back to Minnesota, Fred Evans!
