Minnesota Vikings News And Links, 3/20

Today is the official start of the 2014 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. You still have a couple of hours to jump into the pool set up by our own CCNorseman. I have my entry in, despite the fact that I haven't watched a single college basketball game all year. Warren Buffett better have his checkbook ready.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Ted took a look at how the Minnesota Vikings have done so far this off-season. SPOILER: He sort of likes it.

-The Vikings brought in another new face on Wednesday, signing defensive tackle Tom Johnson to a one-year deal.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-Defensive tackle Kevin Williams appears to be getting increasingly skeptical about his chances of coming back to Minnesota.

-Defensive end Jared Allen is making a second visit to Seattle, because why wouldn't he?

-The defense is seeking medical records in the case of the murder of Adrian Peterson's son.

-Approximately 80% of the Metrodome is going to be recycled, not unlike the "Los Angeles Vikings" jokes that numerous Viking-hating morons told for over a decade.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean, and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

Your selection for today. . .not music, but an episode of one of my favorite TV shows. Just for something different.

The world needs more shows like Corner Gas. Seriously.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Thursday. Be sure to let us know how rapidly your bracket has been completely destroyed, and if we have any more Minnesota Vikings' news, we'll have it right here for you.
