Multiple sources on twitter just confirmed that the Vikings have continued to add depth to their defensive line by signing former Chicago defensive end Corey Wooten to a 1-year contract. Terms of the contract were not immediately released.

Wootton was a 4th round draft pick of the Chicago Bears in the 2010 draft and was coming off of his rookie deal. After sitting on the bench and dealing with injuries for his first two years in Chicago, he started 7 games in 2012 and 15 games in 2013. He amassed 48 tackles and 10 sacks during his last 2 years with the Bears. At 6'6" and 270 pounds he figures to provide more depth and competition at the defensive end position and will likely backup Brian Robison and Everson Griffen.
