Happy Friday, everybody! How are everyone's brackets doing so far? I managed to go 13-for-16 on Day One, including calling the victories by North Dakota State, Harvard, and Dayton, which is alright. I need to not watch college basketball more often before I fill out my brackets.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Defensive end Jared Allen was going to sign with the Seattle Seahawks. . .until he didn't.

-The Vikings added yet another defensive lineman, bringing in former Chicago Bears lineman Corey Wootton.

-CCNorseman has done a re-assessment of the biggest needs on the Minnesota Vikings' roster.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-Vikings fans helped the Minnesota National Guard to receive a $20,000 donation. Yay, us!

-Celebrity chef (and Edina resident) Andrew Zimmern is going to be bringing his AZ Canteen concept to both TCF Bank Stadium and the new Minnesota Vikings stadium.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean, and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

Your musical selection for today, since it's been in my head since I heard it in the car this morning.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Friday, everybody! Enjoy the rest of your day, and if anything happens with our favorite football team, we will have it here for you.
