Since the last Open Thread the Vikings brought in Vladimir Ducasse and may sign him which you can read here.
The Vikings are also reportedly interested in LaRod Stephens-Howling which would not be a bad signing at all. I probably would prefer a draft pick like Charles Sims or Marion Grice or Dri Archer.
Chris has updated his Mock Draft Database here.
The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean, and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.
I do not have a music selection for the day but I will give you a crazy mock!
I used the fanspeak mock draft site and their premium (you have to pay $4.95) feature which allows for trades. I used the walterfootball big board as the guide for the draft. I could have used the fanspeak or optimumscouting big boards as alternatives.
I traded the Vikings first round pick next year to the 49ers for their 1st, 2nd, and a 7th round pick this year. Obviously this would be a heck of a trade especially coming from the 49ers point of view. But I would not mind it at all. Since this draft is supposedly very "deep" maybe now is the time to get extra picks. Plus, I do not expect to be drafting in the top 10 next year anyway. Does anyone feel that way? So getting extra picks now and starting to develop them right away could pay dividends in 2016 or 2017.
Walterfootball
