Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 3/25

We're almost to the end of March, folks. . .and, much like Ted said about his brackets yesterday, mine are basically in the toilet at this point. There's a reason I named my entries this year "Gates Doesn't Watch College Basketball." But, enough about that, and more of the Minnesota Vikings.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-CCNorseman brought you a big ol' article about the Vikings' search for a quarterback and some of the traits they should be looking for.

-Ted gave us an update on the NFL's compensatory draft picks, and where the Vikings' picks stand as a result of those.

From some other sites across the internet. . .

-ESPN's Ben Goessling speculates that the Vikings might be in for a return engagement in London in 2015. You know, not permanently, as many of the Viking-hating morons that speculated for a decade that the team was leaving Minnesota might like.

-Linebacker Larry Dean is quite happy to still be a member of the Vikings.

-For those of you who keep track of those sorts of things, linebacker Jasper Brinkley will go back to his #54 for his return to Minnesota. Gerald Hodges, who previously had #54, will switch to #50.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as always, folks. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean, and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

Today's musical selection highlights two things. . .a) the greatest musical of all time, and b) a woman that is celebrating her 72nd birthday today.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll have more for you as the day progresses.
