Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 4/10

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-The big news yesterday, such as it was, was the release of the 2014 pre-season schedule. Our Minnesota Vikings will play the Oakland Raiders, the Arizona Cardinals, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Tennesse Titans in games that don't count leading up to the regular season.

-Ted made the case for the Vikings selecting an offensive lineman in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

-Mark put together another mock draft for everyone to check out.

-The new Vikings stadium might be key in attracting Major League Soccer to the Twin Cities.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-Adrian Peterson declared that college athletes should be getting paid.

-Speaking of the NFL's best running back, he's almost all the way back from his off-season surgery.

-The team is hosting free agent safety Kurt Coleman.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as ever, folks. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (with spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

Your musical selection for today, folks.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. Have a good rest of your day, and we'll have more for you later!
