Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 4/2

Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

It appears that we survived April Fool's Day with a minimum of damage, which is good. We're just about five weeks away from the NFL Draft, which is even better.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Ted put together the latest installment of his "Making the Case" series, this time looking at Buffalo linebacker Khalil Mack.

-Mark gave us a slightly different look at the draft with his latest mock.

-Brett Favre apparently wants to make a comeback again. We're super serial.*

-We gave you the opportunity to snag a couple of passes to a screening of the movie Draft Day on Thursday night.

-Minneapolis has officially submitted their bid to host Super Bowl LII (which is 52 for us non-Roman types).

From some other sites across these vast interwebs of ours. . .

-The folks from our Giants site, Big Blue View, have made their selection for the Vikings in their Community Mock Draft.

-Jared Allen talked about his exit from Minnesota.

-At least one Twin Cities writer thinks that Mike Zimmer's comments mean that the Vikings really do want to draft Johnny Manziel.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean, and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

Your musical selection for today, ladies and gentlemen.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Wednesday, folks. Enjoy the rest of your day!

* - Totally not serial.
