Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 5/22

Hannah Foslien

Welcome to Thursday, everybody! Hopefully your week has gone well thus far, and will continue to do so as we head into the weekend.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-The Vikings signed two more draft picks yesterday, as they signed both defensive end Scott Crichton and safety Antone Exum to their rookie contracts. Our story on Exum is here, and our story on Crichton is here. That leaves third-round running back Jerick McKinnon as the team's lone unsigned draft choice.

-Philadelphia Eagles' running back LeSean McCoy has declared himself the best running back in the National Football League. Dawwwwww, how cute is that, huh?

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-Here's another piece on the big Bud Grant garage sale. If you happen to wander by, let us know if you pick up anything cool.

-Minnesota really wants to turn their hosting of Super Bowl LII into a showcase for the local area.

-There's been a pretty significant lawsuit filed against the National Football League by a group of former players, this one centered around the distribution of pain-killing medication.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (with spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

MOAR MAIDEN!

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Thursday, everybody. Enjoy the rest of your day!
