Matt Cassel Guesses He's Mentoring Teddy Bridgewater

We're well into the off-season again ladies and gentlemen, with the draft having passed and Training Camp for the Minnesota Vikings (and every other NFL team) still about two months away from getting started. So, in our efforts to bring you more coverage of the Minnesota Vikings, we're looking pretty much everywhere in order to find new stuff to bring you.

With that in mind, here's the latest from TMZ.

Specifically, TMZ Sports, who caught up with Vikings' quarterback Matt Cassel at an airport the other day. The reporter asks Cassel about whether or not he's "mentoring" rookie Teddy Bridgewater.

His response?

"I guess you could call it that. I'm just a teammate, brother."

Cassel, who voided the final year of his contract before the free agency period started and signed a larger two-year deal with the Vikings shortly thereafter, is thought to be the favorite to be the starter for the Vikings at quarterback going into the 2014 season. However, Bridgewater impressed at the team's rookie camp, and has been told that he'll be getting some first-team reps at Organized Team Activities starting next week.

It's not controversial or earth-shattering news or anything, but it's what we've got at the moment. Enjoy the video!
