Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 5/27

Hannah Foslien

Welcome back from the long weekend, ladies and gentlemen. The Minnesota Vikings will have some Organized Team Activities starting tomorrow, but we have to make it there first.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-We observed the Memorial Day holiday, and Ted shared a story of his that he originally posted at Off-Tackle Empire, SB Nation's Big Ten Football site.

-Arif and Dusty put together the latest episode of Norse Code, in which they tackle a pretty serious topic.

-The Vikings plan on distributing their first-team snaps this off-season and pre-season more liberally than many originally thought.

-Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder is seen as a top candidate to be traded sometime before the season starts.

-The team won't have many extended road trips in 2014.

-Quarterback Matt Cassel told TMZ "I AM NOT A ROLE MODEL!" (Well, maybe he didn't phrase it exactly that way.)

-Teddy Bridgewater is a pretty valuable guy. I think we knew that already.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean, and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

I'm using cartoon theme songs for this week's musical selections. Why? Well, in the words of Senator John Blutarsky, "why not?"

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Tuesday, ladies and gentlemen. Have a good one, and we'll have more for you later on!
