Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 5/29

We're nearly through the month of May, folks, which means we're that much closer to football season. Not a moment too soon, either.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson got an invitation from a youngster to come to his school. . .and because Patterson is awesome, he showed up.

-Someone had the nerve to say something positive about Christian Ponder, and the weeping and gnashing of teeth began in earnest, as you'd expect.

From some other sources across the internet. . .

-Over at Vikings Territory, they're talking about which cornerbacks are going to be on the roster when the season starts.

-The team's official website has some highlights from yesterday's OTAs.

-Our condolences go out to our friends over at Bucs Nation, as the team's owner, Malcolm Glazer, passed away yesterday at the age of 85.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (with spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

No musical selection today, folks. . .seems inappropriate to follow the announcement of someone's death with music, quite frankly. Enjoy the rest of your day, everyone, and we'll have more for you later on.
