As we mentioned yesterday, the news is a bit on the slow side during this time of the year, but a lot of the NFL rookies are still in Los Angeles at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere. That includes quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who is getting his first taste of the NFL lifestyle along with a lot of other NFL newbies.
A big part of today's festivities included a photo shoot, and that gave Bridgewater the opportunity to don his full Minnesota Vikings uniform for the first time. SB Nation's Dan Rubenstein is covering the event for the network, and he was kind enough to tweet out the above picture of Bridgewater in purple and gold for the first time.
Something that a couple of the folks on the Twitter mentioned that I really hadn't paid much attention to earlier is the length of the sleeves on Bridgewater's jersey. If you look at the picture, the player next to Bridgewater (Indianapolis Colts' rookie wide receiver Donte Moncrief) has his sleeves sort of tucked under his shoulder pads, while Bridgewater's are hanging down significantly longer.
Oh, and he isn't wearing gloves. So if he threw passes to any photographers, they might have been off. Mike Mayock just downgraded him to a fourth-round pick.
That's what qualifies as news for today, ladies and gentlemen. If we find anything more exciting, we will bring it to you.
