Welcome to the second day of the 2014 NFL Draft, ladies and gentlemen! Last night wound up being pretty freaking exciting, if I might say so, and we brought you (in my humble opinion) the best damn coverage of every angle of this draft from a Minnesota Vikings perspective. From the site to Twitter and FaceBook and all the way to Winter Park, we had everything covered, and I think we all wound up having a pretty damn good time.
Rather than just link to every story we put out last night. . .because, man, there were a lot of them. . .I'll simply direct everyone's attention to our Minnesota Vikings Draft Central stream that will remain pinned to the top of the page throughout the weekend for your reading pleasure.
We're going to be back at about 4:30 PM Central Time with our Open Thread. . .well, the first of many, I'm assuming. . .for Day Two of the 2014 NFL Draft. Coverage is set to formally kick off at 6 PM Central, and with the Vikings now not having a pick until the third round after last night's trade, we should have plenty of time to get comfortable before the Vikings are back on the clock. Or, you know, maybe not. It depends on how froggy Rick Spielman is feeling, I suppose.
The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've always been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (with spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe. (Oh, and since this is the regular Open Thread, feel free to GIF it up to your heart's content. We're going to have the same restrictions on the draft Open Threads, though.)
Since Ted took my song of choice for this morning for the Round One Stock Market Report, I'll hop into the Wayback Machine and go with this one that seems equally appropriate.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Friday, ladies and gentlemen! Take care, and keep your eyes out for more later on leading up to Day Two of the 2014 NFL Draft.
