We're back at it for another week, ladies and gentlemen! We're getting closer to Training Camp, which we will have all sorts of coverage of for your reading pleasure. Much like the slog up to the draft, we just have to make it there.
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-CCNorseman got some pretty cool gifts for Father's Day.
-After the Kansas City Chiefs released cornerback Brandon Flowers, the Minnesota Vikings were one of a few teams to inquire about his services.
-Kyle hates soccer. Ted also hates soccer, if you've been following him on Twitter. (He hates soccer even if you're not following him on Twitter. . .I'm just trying to clarify things.)
-The Vikings brought in receiver Josh Cooper, who played for the Cleveland Browns last year.
-After defensive tackle Kevin Williams signed with the Seattle Seahawks. . .because, really, who else was he going to sign with. . .the defending Super Bowl champions have changed their name.*
* - They haven't really changed their name. That there is "satire," I think.
-And, as Ted is fond of saying, Vikings bandwagon or GTFO.
That should be plenty to tide people over for now.
The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no religion, no politics, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (with spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work safe.
Oh, and since it's Monday. . .FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING GOOD AND HOLY IF YOU'RE GOING TO TALK ABOUT GAME OF THRONES USE THE SPOILER TAGS. There. . .now we can avoid any heartburn. In theory.
Piggybacking off of the "Mr. Cooper" post from above, let's go with some sitcom themes for this week, shall we? We'll start with one of the ones that I think we can all pretty much sing along to.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Monday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
