Linval Joseph, Matt Kalil Limited At Mini-Camp

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Vikings are having their final mini-camp before Training Camp kicks off in Mankato next month, and while new head coach Mike Zimmer has said that everyone on the team is in attendance, not everyone is participating in full.

Both offensive tackle Matt Kalil and newly-signed defensive tackle Linval Joseph will be held out of team drills this week, but will take part in individual drills.

Kalil had a procedure done on his knee earlier this off-season, and that's what is keeping him out of this week's camp. Nobody knows why Joseph is being held out, but the team has said that it's an issue they knew about before signing him to his big contract this off-season. Joseph did miss one game last season due to issues with a foot and an ankle, but nobody knows if his being held out is connected to either of those things.

Zimmer has said that he fully expects that both Kalil and Joseph will be fully ready to go when Training Camp starts in a little more than five weeks. Other than that, the team is reportedly fairly healthy.
