Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 6/2

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

We've made it to June, ladies and gentlemen, which means we can officially say that Training Camp starts next month! Yeah, it's still about seven weeks away, but at least it's something to look forward to.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-We had a lot of stuff about Teddy Bridgewater and his time at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere. Among the finds from that were a video interview with him, the first picture of him in full Vikings garb, and a bit about his meeting with former Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper. (I even eventually managed to figure out which picture was actually of Bridgewater and Culpepper. Go me!)

-Speaking of new Vikings, the team's new coach almost didn't show up for his second interview with the team.

-The New York Giants took just a few weeks to learn what the Vikings learned in three months. . .that Josh Freeman simply doesn't give a damn about anyone but Josh Freeman.

From some other sources around the interweb. . .

-Vikings Territory takes a look at which important Vikings have contracts that expire this season.

-Mike Zimmer really likes linebacker Chad Greenway, and said as much after the Vikings' recent OTAs.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've always been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (with spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

Eh, back to cartoon themes for this week, I think.

Of all the Adult Swim shows that have disappeared over the years, this is probably the one I'd love to see come back the most. If you've never seen it, find a few episodes. . .really great stuff.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this first Monday of June, ladies and gentlemen. Have a good rest of your day, and we'll do our best to have some more for you later on.
