Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 6/20

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

It's the last day of the work week, everybody. . .and not a moment too soon!

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-We looked at how linebacker Michael Mauti figures into the mix at the position for this coming season.

-It doesn't look like cornerback Brandon Flowers is going to be making his way to Minnesota.

-Ted has brought you some HOT! SPORTS! TAKES! in the form of post mini-camp predictions.

-Former Vikings' guard Steve Hutchinson has expressed interest in returning to the team as a scout.

From some other sources across the interwebs. . .

-Running back Adrian Peterson isn't too concerned with getting older or debating who the best running back in the NFL is (even though it's pretty clearly him).

-It looks like Blair Walsh and Jeff Locke are serious about getting ready to kick outdoors for the next couple of seasons.

-Former Vikings quarterback and NFL MVP Rich Gannon appears to be among the growing number of folks that are impressed with quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, folks. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (with spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

Final sitcom theme for the week. . .next week, we'll probably continue on with TV themes, because there are a lot of good ones out there.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Friday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
