Vikings Release Training Camp Schedule

If you've never been, the walk-throughs are pretty boring, at least from a fan perspective. It's shells, with no full speed anything. Still there are always going to be autograph opportunities for kids, and the Vikings have a lot of family friendly things set up near the practice field.  According to the Vikings, the walk-throughs held in Blakeslee Stadium. The afternoon practices are where you'll see the 11 on 11, 7 on 7, and full contact helmet and shoulder pad practices.

In the first week, they'll have one evening practice in the stadium (July 28th, with the next day as a day off for the players. The annual team scrimmage will be Saturday, Aug 2nd, and that's always a lot of fun, at least from my past experiences covering camp. There's usually a fireworks display after the scrimmage, too.

They have one more Monday evening practice on August 11th, a player day off on the 12th, and the Vikings break camp on the 5th in time for their pre-season game against the Cardinals the following day.

The Daily Norseman is still finalizing plans, but we intend to be there to cover it for you, and assuming nothing goes off the rails, we will be.  Once we get those plans finalized and coordinated, we'll tell you who's going to be in Mankato and when. If things go right, maybe we can even do a DN meet up or something.
