Joseph Patterson Arrested Again

Last season, fans of the Minnesota Vikings received the news that Tyrese Doohen, the 2-year old son of running back Adrian Peterson, had been beaten to death in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The man that was accused of the murder was a man named Joseph Robert Patterson, and he was jailed for the offense. However, he was. . .for whatever reason. . .allowed to post bail and walk around free until his trial.

Now word has come out that Patterson is in jail again, this time for assaulting Tyrese Doohen's mother. Apparently Patterson went to the apartment of the woman in question and held her hostage, "twice choking her and once causing her to lose consciousness," according to the report. He was arrested and charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, interference with emergency communications, and third-degree burglary.

Patterson was jailed again, and given a cash-only bail of $1 million. With any luck, he won't be able to post it and can rot until the trial comes around. (Yes, I know, "innocent until proven guilty" and so forth, but really. . .come on.)
